On this episode we discuss the acclaimed series Scalped Vol. 1 by Jason Aaron and RM Guera published by Vertigo. This is an incredibly complex and dense comic book series that deals with issues of violence, sexuality, crime, drug addiction, and identity. We do our best to touch on all those things while at the same time discussing the writing style and artwork and the importance of this series in comics history.

Also on the program we have a rousing discussion of the newly announced series The Terrifics from DC and ask the question: Is DC just trolling Marvel now? We also talk about the upcoming Doomsday Clock crossover from DC and if the Watchmen characters can  work in mainstream continuity.  This leads to a … lively conversation. Spoiler: we do not agree on that subject.

So join us – Paul Matthew Carr and Brian K. Reese – for a lively and rambling and hopefully entertaining discussion on comics and comic related material.
