Happy holidays everyone!

On this episode we discuss two holiday issues:

Batman Adventures: Holiday Special
The 1994 collection of five holiday stories based on the classic Batman Animated Series. Written by Paul Dini and illustrated by several artists it is a collection of short vignettes that range from slapstick to tender. It also features the story The Harley and the Ivy that has become a perennial favorite and was given its own episode in the animated series because of it’s popularity.

and

Power-Man & Iron Fist: Sweet Christmas
This is the first annual from the David F. Walker run of Power-Man & Iron Fist and drawn by Scott Hepburn. This was from the 2016 run that brought the two characters back together in a run that focused on the comradery of the two. It highlighted their silliness and emphasized the fun inherent in the pairing. This story takes place on Christmas eve and features Luke cage, Danny rand, Jessica Draw and the Son of Satan battling Krampus and demon spawn Pokemon toys with the aid of Santa Claus. No, seriously. It is a lot of fun.

In addition we give our top picks for the best of 2018 comics. We agreed to make a list of five comics so of course Brian mad a list of seven. We also talk about honorable mentions, Brian has a few words on his least favorite comic of the year, and I give my pick for the most promising comic of 2019.

So join us – Paul Matthew Carr and Brian K. Reese – for a lively and rambling and hopefully entertaining discussion on comics and comic related material.
